Grammy nominated singer songwriter Paul Tyler with a little help from Stephen Wrench wrote and recorded this song. The song is not rascist at all. The song came to the writers while sitting on a civil war battlegfield. The words just seemed to flow. Imagine what it was like then to be in battle with your neighbors and relatives.
The words " The fight was on , my company was fading quicly, a shot rang out as I fell to the ground in pain, vision blurred my body weak my soul seemd soon to leave me but thru the smoke I heard and angel sing, just enough to get back home to dixie.
Its moving, its history
